A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering his father at the University Hospital of North Durham.The 45-year-old was held after hospital staff raised concerns over the death of Ralph Stephenson, 86, on 11 June. The pensioner, of Stanley, was admitted on 21 May with symptoms relating to Parkinson’s disease and pneumonia. A post-mortem examination indicated the death was suspicious, police said.
