PERRYSBURG TOWNSHIP — Owens Community College has been selected as one of only 32 higher educational consortium groups nationwide to receive a U.S. Department of Labor Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College and Career Training Grant for targeted training and workforce development to help economically dislocated workers who are changing careers.
SHELBY — Ten dislocated workers are one step closer to finding employment, having graduated Wednesday from north central Ohio’s first free basic Computerized Numerical Controls operator training.

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – In response to recession-related layoffs and a high number of dislocated workers, the Cherokee Nation is announcing the start of a new on-the-job training program. The program potentially will benefit both those who are unemployed as well as employers located within the tribe’s 14-county jurisdictional area.
